Our apologies for the technical difficulties which resulted in our inability to screen the film Age of Consequences at our February meeting. And thanks to the generous people who came to see the film, endured our attempts to run the film and stayed for a very lively discussion with local groups who are active in addressing climate change locally.
And, we are happy to report a positive development in regard to those efforts: On Monday, February 26, the Ventura City Council voted to join the Clean Power Alliance of Southern California after listening to 23 speakers in favor and none against.
For our March meeting, we invite you to join us in attending the Unitarian Universalist Environmental Action Team’s screening of The Age of Consequences at our usual meeting time: Sunday, March 4 at 3 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ventura, 5654 Ralston Street, Ventura. An A/V technician will be on hand to oversee the screening. Following the film, local groups addressing climate change will participate in a discussion.
