An Afternoon with Alec Loorz
When
Alec Loorz was 12, he saw the film "An Inconvenient Truth." Alec
decided that, since his generation would be the most affected by
anthropogenic global warming, he should do something about it. He
contacted Al Gore,
but was rejected as a climate change trainee because of his age. So
Alec founded "Kids Vs. Global Warming" . Al Gore was then so impressed
that he wanted to meet Alec and soon made him the youngest trainee
ever. Recently, Alex attended the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen as
a representative of all world citizens too young to vote. Come meet
Alex at CPR. Hear his thoughts about Copenhagen, global warming and his
latest project, the upcoming "Million Kid March 'I-Matter' March."
Sunday, March 7, 3:00 p.m.
Foster Library’s Topping Room, 651 E. Main St.,
Ventura, CA
